The lack of positive role models in our communities can not be ingored. We at SLAM! are aware of our social obligations. Our recuitment and training of Community Sports Leaders is fundamental to our approach to helping the young people we work with.

To continue our mission, to enrich more young peoples lives through basketball, SLAM! has implemented a Community Sports Leaders/Coach recruitment and training programme. Any persons over the age of 14 with an interest in a sport or community activities can get involved. All our graduates will become CSLA certified, to plan and organise their own sports and/or community events. Additional mentoring, life coaching and volunteering will equip our graduates with a wide range of marketable employable skills.
