SLAM! is serious about the development of basketball in this region. Our development approach, from grassroots to professional, runs parallel to the LTAD (Long-Term Athlete Development) Model, focusing on maximising player development to encourage a life-long commitment to sports and exercise.

We at SLAM! utilise links with the regions PESSCL Partnerships to create pathways for young athletes to reach their full potential. Our current development and coaching work in primary schools, secondary schools and further education institutions, casts a net across the Midlands (Solihull, Telford, Wolverhampton and Worcester).

Links with other development agencies allow us to refer athletes to some of the top coaching and educational instiutions in the country. SLAM! is heavily involved with the regions top basketball academies (Big Sky Basketball & Be The Best Basketball), sports colleges and universities (City of Wolverhampton College/University of Worcester), national league and professional teams (BBL teams Birmingham Panthers and Worcester Wolves).
