Dads and Lads is a project which encourages dads/father figures/mentors to get involved with their kids, families and communities; while having some FUN in the process!
Dads & Lads helps fathers and children to deepen their relationships through sharing activities together. Once the activity is over, the fun can continue as the dads are encouraged to partake in discussions about what being a dad/father-figure or family means to them.
Dads & Lads will encourage fathers and father figures to get involved through group, community, sports and/or arts activities. The following types of shared activities might be used, to draw dads and children together:
- Basketball
- Badminton
- Football
- Quick Cricket
- Outdoor Games/Activities
- Fitness/Gym Kids
- Video Games/IT Training/Interactive Mats

During each session fathers and sons are offered the opportunity to issues, such as, 'what do I know about my dad/son?', 'how are we communicating with each other?' and 'how do I look after myself/family, “where can get support”?'.
